I remember that day like it was nothing. You picked me up from work. It was an August day. I remember that I was tired and I just wanted to go home but you wanted to go to the flower shop to look at some flowers. I remember we drove down the usual route on Winston Churchill. It was just a typical summer day. You let me pick out a bouquet of sunflowers for me to take care of them. I remember that I was so happy to have my hands on the bright yellow flowers that I always saw online. They were real. They were in my hands. Thanks to you. I remember that the flowers brightened my day just a bit. The stress from finishing a long shift and feelings of remorse. Those flowers meant something to me. You meant something to me. Thank you.
